I have just graduated from the Charter School of Wilmington, and I’m attending the University of Delaware in the fall. I am going to major in Chemical Engineering, and I am a part of the honors program. I plan to complete my four years of undergraduate school and then move on to some type of graduate school. This will most probably be either medical school or I will work towards my Ph.D. Hopefully I will have a career in some kind of research or as a practicing physician. I have been extremely lucky to begin working in a lab at such a young age. The lab work which I perform is analyzing water samples for Dr. Shreeram Inamdar. He has a project with Dr. Harsh Bais concerning water samples, and he asked me to analyze the samples for hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances. In order to complete this task I have been using a spectrophotometer, and in the future I will be using fluorescence index and HPLC.
