  1. October 1996- November 2000: CSIR Research Fellow in Department of Plant Cell Biotechnology, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore 570 013, India. Worked under the guidance of Dr. G.A. Ravishankar, Head & Scientist, Plant Cell Biotechnology Department, CFTRI for Ph.D degree.
  2. December 2000- July 2005: Postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Jorge M. Vivanco, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.
Honours and Awards
  • Awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, (CSIR) New Delhi, India (1996)
  • Gold medalist at graduation (1992) and post graduation levels (1994, 1996)
  • First prize for oral presentation in Society of Biological Chemists, SBC (I) 1998
  • First prize for oral presentation in Association for Microbiologists, (AMI), 1998
  • Consolation prize for oral presentation in Society of Biological Chemists, SBC (I) 1999
  • Best presentation award at National Conference for Plant Biotechnology held at Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow from 15 – 17 March 1999
